The agency received the honour at the Campaign Media Awards, held at London’s Hurlingham Club tonight. OMD’s Walkers activity scooped the top prize after winning silver awards in the Grocery and Best Total Communications Programme categories.The other silvers were spread among nine agencies, with Mediaedge:cia the only shop to receive two. Its work for Orange was awarded in the Media and Entertainment category, while its research programme, the invisible audience, won in the Best Use of Research category.Other agencies to win silver were Arena BLM, Carat, Manning Gottlieb OMD, Maxus, MediaCom, Universal McCann, Vizeum and ZenithOptimedia.Media owners winning Sales Team of the Year awards were Telegraph Create (cross-media), Microsoft Advertising (digital), CBS Outdoor (outdoor), ShortList (print), Bauer Media (radio) and Viacom Brand Solutions (TV).An interactive text vote was held to pick the winners in the Best Media Agency Leader and Best Sales Leader categories. Stewart Easterbook, the chief executive of Starcom MediaVest Group, won in the agency category, while Rob Atkinson, Clear Channel’s managing director, came top in the sales contest.
